Starry Internet

A bandwidth supplier you won't want to fire

For two years, I was UX/UI design lead on a tiny, scrappy creative team for this ISP startup born out of Boston, with a presence from NYC to LA. Starry uses fixed wireless technology to beam superfast internet directly to your home via a network of radio towers typically installed on multi-family dwellings. This cuts out a lot of the utility cruft the big cable monopolies bring to the table, and allows Starry to offer faster data at a fraction of the usual price.

Pair that with a no-BS, customer-first policy, and you get happy users and one of the highest Trustpilot scores in the industry. My daily task was to help spread the message of Happy Interneting™ as far and wide as possible (and through just about every medium available to me).

Rolling out materials to new markets was one of the primary focuses of the time I spent at Starry. In order to keep the campaign top of mind for target customers who may have been unfamiliar with the brand, talent from in-market TV spots were used across social, display, email, print and out of home.
